The HLES has earlier been organised in Oslo Norway in 2009, Geneva Switzerland in 2010, Prague Czech Republic in 2011 and in Venice Italy in 2012. All of these seminars were very successful and attended by more than 35 persons each year, coming from over 13 different nations. The HLES targets coming organisers, potential future organisers and key persons of IOF High Level Events, including appointed IOF Senior Event Advisers. National orienteering federations are kindly asked to identify and enter suitable candidates
The focus of the HLES is on event organising at the highest international level and experience sharing will be a central part of the seminar. The themes for the previous years have been 'TV- and arena', 'specialising in Sprint', 'focussing on course planning' and 'world championships'. The theme for 2013 and the specific lecturers will soon be announced in the official HLES invitation. The seminar is open to all IOF disciplines.
Please mark your calendars for the HLES in Edinburgh, 2-3 February 2013. The detailed invitation with programme and entry forms will be published during November 2012.
